Rehabilitation Center

Hassinger Equine Sports Clinic is home to a unique sports therapy and rehabilitation center which employs state-of-the art technological equipment and high quality "veterinary supervised" staff in a clean and healthy environment. Small PaddockThe center offers an integrative approach to equine rehabilitation and conditioning, making use of a variety of modalities to see your equine partner through the healing process. Our ‘all-inclusive’ horse care – horses in our program have all of their needs met under one roof - is administered by Laure Connelly, a licensed trainer with over 30 years in the thoroughbred industry. Laure and her professional staff have continual access to the veterinary expertise of Dr. Jim Hassinger, whose performance-centered sports medicine practice is focused equine lameness, rehabilitation and conditioning.

Our equine patients receive full care, 24/7, beginning with a thorough diagnostic evaluation which allows us to develop a specialized, comprehensive treatment program, specific to their individual needs. Every horse is evaluated daily to ensure that their diet, prescribed treatments and therapies are contributing to their full recovery in the safest environment possible.

The centerpiece of our rehabilitation program is the AquaTrak, the first unit in the world to combine the equine underwater treadmill with cold saltwater therapy – also known as cryotherapy. Its use is unparalleled for use in bringing horses back quickly and safely from leg and hoof injuries and can cut conditioning time in half. AquaTrak is also an indispensable tool for the rehabilitation and conditioning of our canine partners.
